WDBKA - Beekeeping Courses

The Winchester and District Beekeepers’ Association (WDBKA) aims to promote best practices in all aspects of bee husbandry.

However, we understand that when you are considering keeping bees for the first time you will have lots of questions. How much will it cost?  What is the time commitment required? Is my garden suitable? How do I obtain some bees? and so on.

WDBKA can help you answer all those questions! We offer a one day classroom based course that covers the bits you need to know to get started, followed by the opportunity to visit the hives at our association apiaries to get some hands-on experience.  It is a great way to see if you will enjoy beekeeping for a very modest investment.

To apply for a place on the next course, return a completed application form to the WDBKA.  Places are offered on a “first-come-first-served” basis.
